At Heage Primary, we aim to inspire children’s curiosity through historical enquiry and creative opportunities to think like a historian. We have developed an ambitious curriculum that teaches key historical concepts including: chronological understanding; people, changes and consequences and similarities and differences.  We believe that children should have a rich understanding of their local heritage and weave the local history of Heage, Derbyshire and the United Kingdom throughout our curriculum. The curriculum is enriched through engagement with local organisations, off-site visits and visitors and access to a range of inclusive resources.
