PSHE/RSE Vision Statement

At Heage Primary, our Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) education nurtures confident, thoughtful, and compassionate individuals who are equipped to thrive in an ever-changing world. Rooted in our core values of kindness, honesty, resilience, teamwork, respect, and compassion, our PSHE curriculum provides children with the knowledge, skills and attitudes they need to flourish both now and in the future.

Through rich and inclusive learning across health and wellbeing, families and relationships, safety and the changing body, citizenship, economic wellbeing, transition and identity, we empower pupils to:

• Think critically and creatively about the world around them and their place within it.

• Maintain a healthy and balanced lifestyle, in both body and mind

• Take responsibility for themselves and show care and empathy towards others

• Believe in their own potential, regardless of their personal circumstances

• Respect and celebrate individuality, cultures and beliefs

• Stand up for justice and show compassion to those who face disadvantage or discrimination

Our PSHE vision aligns with our whole-school curriculum and aims to equip every child with not only the academic tools to succeed, but also the emotional literacy and moral compass to make a meaningful difference in their community and beyond.
