Impact of PE and Sports Premium 2019-2020

  • Increase staff confidence, knowledge and skill in teaching PE.

Planning and exemplification modules are available to all staff for each year group and unit of work.

Skills progression through the PE curriculum is now evident through the PE planning.


  • Increase physical activity.

All junior children take part in the 'mile a day' project.

School makes effective use of the Amber Valley School Sports Partnership training and sporting events.

Mini leaders in Year 5 and 6 now run lunchtime sessions for younger children.


  • Increase children's physical activity through a variety of experiences

Forest schools sessions are an embedded part of the curriculum offer for Reception, Kinder and Castle Naze.


Some activities did not run all year due to COVID restrictions.
